Berber villages, mint tea in a local house and the waterfalls of Setti Fatma, just one hour from Marrakech.
Two weeks to discover Morocco without rushing: cities, desert, mountains, waterfalls and ocean. Want to change something? Every tour can be adapted: more days, other stops, other hotels.
Guided tour of Marrakech: the Koutoubia, the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, the Ben Youssef madrasa and the souks of the medina. Free time in the afternoon for a hammam or the Majorelle Garden, and evening in the lively Jemaa el Fna square.
Pick-up at your riad or hotel at 7:30. We cross the High Atlas through the Tizi n'Tichka pass, with stops at Berber villages and viewpoints. Guided visit of the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, lunch in the area and continuation through Ouarzazate and the Valley of the Roses to the Dades Valley.
Morning walk in the Todra Gorges, with walls over 300 metres high. We continue through Tinejdad and Erfoud to Merzouga. At sunset, camel ride into the dunes of Erg Chebbi to reach our camp: dinner, drums around the fire and a sky full of stars.
A whole day in the desert by 4x4: around the dunes of Erg Chebbi, the Gnawa village of Khamlia and its music, nomad families, the black desert and the old kasbahs of Rissani. Optional sandboarding or quad. Evening at the camp around the fire.
Sunrise over the dunes and camel ride back to Merzouga. We drive north through the palm groves of the Ziz Valley and the plateaus of Midelt, then cross the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, home of the Barbary macaques, and Ifrane, the 'Switzerland of Morocco', before reaching Fes.
Full day in Fes el Bali, the largest medieval medina in the world, with a licensed local guide: the Bou Inania madrasa, the Al Quaraouiyine university, the Chouara tanneries and the artisans' souks. Afternoon at leisure.
Morning drive through the green hills of the Rif to Chefchaouen. Afternoon to get lost in the blue alleys of the medina, visit the Kasbah and climb to the Spanish Mosque for the sunset over the blue city.
Morning drive into the Talassemtane National Park to Akchour, where a path along the river leads to waterfalls and natural pools. Afternoon back in Chefchaouen to enjoy its blue medina at your own pace.
Morning walk in the blue medina. We drive down to the Atlantic coast and Asilah, a whitewashed town full of murals, and continue to Rabat to see the Hassan Tower and the Kasbah of the Udayas at sunset.
We drive along the coast to Casablanca to visit the Hassan II Mosque and the Corniche, then continue south through the plains of the Chaouia to Marrakech, arriving in the late afternoon.
Morning drive to the foothills of the High Atlas. Stop at a Berber house for mint tea and at an argan cooperative, then walk in Setti Fatma to the first waterfalls of the Ourika Valley. Lunch by the river and return to Marrakech in the afternoon.
Drive west across the argan plains, with a stop at a women's argan cooperative. Afternoon in Essaouira: the ramparts, the fishing port and the relaxed white-and-blue medina by the Atlantic.
