Day 01 : Tangier – Chefchaouen

Today marks the beginning of your Moroccan 7 Days to Marrakech via chefchaouen Upon your arrival at the airport or port, we’ll warmly welcome you and begin our scenic drive toward the enchanting blue washed town of Chefchaouen. 

As we wind through the picturesque Rif Mountains and pass the charming city of Tetouan, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of rolling hills and peaceful valleys. By late afternoon, we’ll arrive in Chefchaouen a town so enchanting, it feels like it stepped straight out of a dream. Settle into your cozy riad or hotel for a restful night, surrounded by the peaceful charm.

Day 02 : Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

Following a delightful breakfast at your riad, we’ll set off on the next leg of your 7 Days to Marrakech via chefchaouen, journeying through the picturesque Rif countryside and passing through quaint towns like Ouazzane, en route to the remarkable ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. Here.

You’ll walk among the best preserved Roman ruins in Morocco, uncovering stories carved in stone and gaining insight into the country’s deep rooted history. Next, we head to the imperial city of Meknes, a jewel of 17th-century design and grandeur. 

After a relaxing lunch, you’ll explore the city’s majestic heritage stroll along the massive fortified walls, admire the grandeur of Bab El Mansour, and pay a visit to the tomb of Moulay Ismail. As the day winds down, we head toward the spiritual and cultural capital of Fes, where your overnight stay awaits in a charming riad nestled in the heart of the old medina.

Day 03 : Full day in Fes

Today, get ready to dive deep into the soul of Fes with a guided tour through its mesmerizing medina a UNESCO World Heritage treasure. As you wander the maze of narrow, cobbled streets, you’ll be transported back in time, surrounded by towering green glazed minarets, hidden mosques, and stunning Andalusian style architecture at every turn.

Your local guide will lead you through the heart of the city, revealing centuries of history and culture. Discover the ancient Al Qaraouine University, one of the world’s oldest, and visit the famous tanneries where leather is dyed using age old methods. 

You’ll also stop by a ceramic cooperative to watch artisans craft beautiful pieces by hand. From souks to iconic historical sites, today promises a memorable dive into Morocco’s deep-rooted heritage. As evening falls, unwind at your riad or hotel, surrounded by the enduring beauty and old-world allure of Fes.

Day 04 : Fes – Azrou – Midelt – Merzouga

Your adventure begins with a comfortable pickup from your hotel or riad, heading south toward the heart of Morocco. Along the way, you’ll pass through Ifrane famously known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” with its clean streets and alpine charm. 

Then we continue into the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in the cedar forests near Azrou for a fun encounter and memorable photos with the curious Barbary Apes. As the journey unfolds, enjoy the changing scenery through Midelt’s highland landscapes, where we’ll pause for lunch. In the afternoon.

We descend through the lush Ziz Valley, a ribbon of green cutting through the desert, before arriving in Erfoud and the historic town of Rissani. By evening, we reach Merzouga, where you’ll settle into a welcoming local hotel, ready for the desert magic that awaits tomorrow.

Day 05 : Full day in Merzouga

Your desert adventure truly begins as you dive into the rich culture and landscapes of Merzouga. First, you’ll visit a local village inhabited by Gnawa people originally from Mali famous for their soulful music and warm hospitality. You’ll get a taste of their rhythm and daily life in this unique desert community. 

Then, the journey continues to the old Mifis mines, where you’ll discover how locals once extracted minerals from deep within the earth. From there, we’ll drive off road behind the dunes into the heart of the Sahara, where golden sand stretches endlessly in every direction. In this peaceful and remote setting.

You’ll share a traditional cup of tea with a nomadic Berber family and gain insight into their timeless way of life. As the afternoon sun begins to dip, your local guide will show you how to mount and ride a camel safely, and then you’ll set off on a magical trek across the dunes of Erg Chebbi. The day ends at a cozy Berber tent nestled in the sands.

Day 06 : Merzouga – Tinghir – Dades Valley

As the golden light of dawn breaks over the Sahara, you’ll wake early to witness what may be the most breathtaking sunrise of your life casting a kaleidoscope of colors and shifting shadows across the vast sea of Morocco’s tallest dunes. 

After this unforgettable moment and a hearty breakfast at the desert camp, we’ll head back to our hotel in Merzouga to freshen up before continuing the adventure. Our journey takes us toward Tinghir and the spectacular Todra Gorge, where towering canyon walls frame a narrow path that’s perfect for a peaceful hike or simply relaxing by the cool river. 

Take time to savor traditional Berber flavors over lunch nestled in the heart of this natural wonder. In the afternoon, we’ll follow the winding road into the dramatic Dades Valley, where surreal rock formations and lush oases greet us. The day ends in comfort and serenity as we settle into a lovely hotel perched atop the mountains offering sweeping views and a peaceful night’s rest in the heart of the valley.

Day 07 : Dades Valley – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

After a relaxed breakfast at your hotel, your 7 Days to Marrakech via chefchaouen continues through the stunning Dades Valley, known as the “road of a thousand kasbahs” a photographer’s paradise where every twist reveals ancient fortresses and breathtaking scenery.

You’ll pass through Kalaat M’Gouna, famed as the “city of roses,” especially during spring bloom. As we head towards Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Africa,” we’ll make a short stop at the Atlas Film Studios, where famous movies were brought to life. Next, we venture to the iconic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah.

Morocco’s largest and most legendary fortified village, built by the powerful Berber chieftain T Hami El Glaoui in the early 20th century. Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it’s a place steeped in history and cinematic magic.

After exploring its mudbrick alleys and enjoying lunch, we cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains, where sweeping views and charming Berber villages line the winding road. As the peaks give way to the plains below, we arrive in Marrakech bringing your unforgettable journey to a perfect close.
